Things are pretty good here, Looks like rain every day for the next week.. guess I shouldda mowed last night.

Spent the day in Emporia today, stopped in Council Grove to look at an Escape, going to do a little research, it needs new brakes and has a lot of hail damage, with 119,000 miles but cash price they said was 4200.00. They said they would fix brakes, but the amount of hail damage and it only being front wheel drive are a bit of a downer for me. otherwise it looks like they tried to take care of it.

 

What year was it? Also, I don't really know how they do on gas. My brother bought one when they were doing the cash for clunkers and traded in an old beater pickup. His is fwd with a 5 speed.

 

its a 2003 automatic, the number the guy picked out of his head for gas mileage was 25, I don't know if he really knew, or was just guessing.

 

What year? The 05's and newer have the newer front end design, looks sharper IMO.

Don't let the FWD scare ya though, 4wd will just net you worse gas mileage and more maintenance. We didn't have a single issue getting around in town and on the highway with our FWD Escape last year, in fact haven't needed 4wd once in town for snow in the past decade of driving

The RWD truck on the other hand in snow.......ugh
