If it was mine, I'd toss that old powertrain out, install a 351W/C6/9" redo the brakes, suspension, interior and etc and leave the exterior mostly alone.

In the old days, trucks like this were referred to as "practical pigs." Patina'd on the outside, updated where it counts.

ok,here is the break down on nicknames as i know it.

46-47 jail bars
48-52 bonus build
or 48-50 monkey face 51-52 bucktooth.
53-56 effie
57-60 fridge
61-66 slick
67-72 bump side
73-79dent side
80 and up dont know.

nice truck,im with numberdummy on this one,351w/c6/9",drive it and enjoy it.
