97' was running and now dead!
So I changed the fuel pump cause it was leaking out the weap hole. Replaced it and the truck cranked right up so I drove it outside to wash it. I washed it and left it idleing outside and when I came back out it was off. So I turned it over and it fired right up. Drove it across the street and it died. Just like you shut the truck off. Cranked it again and it started running sparattically at idle but would rev. Now it has died and will not restart. I don't have my ae with me. I unplugged the icp and tried it and nothing. Also the tac moves a lil when spinning it over. Just looking for suggestions till I get my scanner! Thanks!

Well I let it sit for 2 hrs, came back and it fired right up. Let it idle for 10 min or so and came back out and the idle is surging. So I started reving it to 2500 and holding it there and once I let off it died. Note I only washed the engine bay so I am suspecting water I'd the issue here. I just have to find out what got wet and isn't liking it!

You do know we have an OBS section, right? Those guys are pretty good down there.
ICP works the same on our motor as theirs. If you washed the engine, did you get the IDM wet? The OBS has a bad rep for getting water in the IDM. Pull the IDM and shake it to see if you hear / feel any water in there. Also check the fuel pressure while cranking to make sure your new fuel pump is working like it's supposed to. You've got a schraeder valve on the fuel bowl to check fuel pressure.
