{Spartan} 250 tune
What do you guys who are using or have used think/feel about the 250??
I had it on for about a week and about 1700kms and switched back to the 210 today.
It seems like the tranny and the motor arent on the same page. Shifts up, down shifts (tires break free). I understand the hard shifting is for a reason but I just dont like it.Oh and the idle when cold or when temp is cold (4*c and lower)is wonky. I did kind of enjoy the black smoke though, must be the rebel in me .
I also had the 175 loaded before the 250 for a couple days...didnt last long, the lag was almost as bad as stock.
The 210 is the sweet spot, awesome power, smooth almost unoticable shifting and idles fine.
What says you?

The 275 is a great tune and the shifts get much better after you drive it for awhile. The 300 is also really good as the MPG is very close (pretty much the same) as the 275 but the shifts are much better. To me it's really a toss up between the 2 as to which I like better. In the past I have also towed with the 275 without issue but don't think I would attempt that with the 300.

Correct, I just downloaded it myself yesterday. I am liking the 275 more each time I drive my truck.

Well I loaded the 275 today, did a couple 0-60mphs and diff throttle %.
Couple things I noticed, first when I went WOT at a roll I looked at dash and saw the boost was pegged (40psi) but didnt get a chance to look at the dashdaq.
I noticed also when it shifts from 3rd to 4th I believe it is, its like it falls right off-like shifting a manual from 2nd gear to 5th for example. The first couple shifts are pretty firm but rest are pretty nice. Im going to give it a few days and see what it does.

I'm gonna try the 210tow today.

Remember that the tranny needs to relearn too, and you need to give it some time after loading the tune to get the shifting down...
I did up my buddy's '08 early build Job1 F350 with a Spartan package (he has their TCM too) and the 275HP has always been his favorite tune, especially for the mileage.
He's been driving the snot out of the latest update and couldn't be happier with it compared to the previous versions. He puts crazy miles on his truck and does a quasi-relearn (can't do the whole thing because he'd need new tires every time he retuned!) so his shifting is only going to get better. Give it some time, but remember with his HP tunes the tranny's line pressure needs to be increased or it's just gonna slip the tranny until it lunches it. Another thing too, traction bars at the higher HP tunes aren't an option; they're a requirement! (He's got his, I'm waiting on mine...)
