Easiest place to tap into turn signals?

I plan in upgrading my paddle mirrors to the tow mirrors with signal. Where is the easiest place to tap into the turn signal wires? I found clearance lights, just need turn. Tks!!

When I upgraded my mirrors I tapped into the turn signal in the column, under the covers. It is very tight to work in there, but achievable. You could also trace them down the column at tap in there.

How hard is it to remove the cover over the steering column? My mirrors will be in next week and want to prewire

There are 3 screws underneath. You'll have to turn the ignition to the on position. There's a little push button through an opening on the bottom cover you push and the lock cylinder comes out with the key.

Tilt the steering column down to give yourself more room to remove the top cover. Up for the bottom.

I recalled I had to detach the dashboard front cover to really get it out in order to replace the turn signal lever (multi-function switch). There are 2 screws under the top side of the radio opening. You'll need to pull the radio out to do this. Then just pull the cover towards you as it unsnaps.

I would disconnect the ground off the battery when doing this. You don't want to have that airbag pop by accident while you're tinkering down there.

You should be able to pop the covers without the extra work of the dash. Just don't forget to unscrew the tilt lever also.
I also put the key cylinder back in while doing the work to get away from the ding, or unplug your battery, but you may want power to sort out your left/right turn signal wires.
