broken radius arm!! how?

Ok the other day I was backing my truck out of the driveway and I heard a pop... got out and looked and my passenger side radius arm had snapped right where it goes into the frame bracket.... how the heck can that happen? I put a rough country lift on this truck a year ago and new bushings... could I have over torque'd the bushings? Or what?

Assembled the bushings wrong? It has to give a little bit there. Also, harder plastic bushings are going to aggravate this.
