I think I'm going to polish the spikes today while they are in the lathe to get a mirror like finish on them. I'll post some more pics later.

It's a old machine but still kicks azz. It does have threading cap. but only standard. The motor is a 3 HP and it is 3 phase.
Over all I'm pretty happy with it.

A few weeks ago I picked up two 12" pieces for approx. $100.
The crappy part is that half of the material went in the trash...I filled up two average sized garbage cans with the shavings.....lol.

A bit off topic, but I was down in your city for Spring Training back in mid-March (HUGE Giants fan). You live in a very nice city, Ben. The only maddening thing that irked me was at most signal light controlled intersections, there were no left turn arrows!

It is a pretty city, but I do not like living here. I woukd tlrather be back in Colorado.

why would you laugh at someone getting hurt? Now if they did something stupid nad hurt themselves funny but not otherwise
