97 ranger trans ID

Hi, I an brand new to this forum. I've been reading some posts on shifting problems. I'm comfident that the synchronizer gears in my trans are shot. I'm having to use to much force to shift into 1st thru 4th. I looked at the ID sticker on the drivers door, but I don't understand the code. I didn't see any info for the trans. My vin: 1FTCR14A2VTA00437 can any one tell me what type of trans I might have so I can find a good rebuild kit. I believe the engine is the 2.3L, 8 spark plugs, fuel injected.

to the best of my knowledge its a M5OD-R1. heres a link ->http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...nsmission.html and according to the chart it is a M5OD-R1.
