Friends 97 explor trans
Hi all, I am normally on the diesel side. However a friend
called me tonight to tow him, his trans popped a cork.
He doesn't wrench much. Without pulling this thing, I'm thinking
he might have lost a front pump. All I know is it is a 97 4x4
about 160 or 170,000 mi. His od light was on last nite he drove
it today anyway, felt a slip this am. When he called me there was
fluid running freely. So any ideas,pull one from a boneyard? rebuild?
I know a line didn't pop, and I've smelled worse fluid.
