Yea if u pull the tranny might as well throw in a new clutch for sure. But u should probably oil the throw out bearing before u pull the tranny. The bearing never gets oiled and it gets dry. A shot of lube will keep it in good shape for at least a few months. Imo

very true, i forgot about that possibility. however, he said that the noise goes away when he steps on the clutch pedal. wouldn't the throwout bearing make noise when hes pressing down on the pedal?

I will look into it ASAP. If I have to pull the tranny for any reason, yes I'll be doing the clutch, rear main seal, and I want to swap in a 5speed as well.

The truck is developing issues that will need to be addressed soon, so I'm gonna remember to try and lube the bearing and see if I can see anything at all when I'm doing everything else. And yes, with foot pressing down on pedal, noise goes away.

Oh, with that Walker QuietFlow on it I'm loving it. Nice and quiet, but she's got low rumble if everything else around you is quiet.

Well gotta get to work, soon as I get these boxes I'll be posting before and after pics.
