The EB Screw is listed around 5800 lbs and an 09' 2500 like the one in the vid has a listed curb weight of 7015 lbs. The weight will obviously vary depending on how much crap you have on or in the truck.

They weigh a tad more than 7015 lbs. Heck the fords diesel pick-ups are in the 7800-8000 lbs range. And thats SRW trucks to boot.

That video is a little bit of joke. You could put a $600 tuner in that Dodge and he'd whoop that Ford even if he had a trailer on the back.

The big diff here is when he hauls a trailer at 70mph and sets the cruis I'm pretty sure he'll stay in OD vs. a gasser that'll have to get down to 3rd gear to generate enough tq to move the trailer.

What? In my opinion that Eco V6 thing got obliterated! That Dodge weighed at least 1K more and spanked that Eco Boost thing! So the F150 caught up, who cares? Racing twin turbo gassers against inline 6 Diesels is not really saying much anyways. 6spd trans vs. 4spd. trans.??? While I found the video entertaining it's like comparing apples to oranges!

If I had to tow my 30' 11K toy hauler with one of those I'd pick the Cummins hands down all day long! I can't stand Dodges, but that Eco Boost in real world towing conditions towing a Fiver with huge wind drag wouldn't even touch the Cummins man! That V6 would be downshifting and revving up and boosting just to keep up! After 400K miles lets see which engine needed fewer repairs and which one still runs like new!

The Dodge already has a Tune, as well as some other mods...They are listed at the start of the video.

Wow. Wasn't this video all about the drag, right? So why are people brining up the "Well if I had to tow every day" statements? This video had absolutely nothing to do with towing, and only to deal with straight line, get off the blocks speed. Nothing more, nothing less. Why are there always people out there that must bring up items, not related to the topic, to make one truck or the other look better.

While I agree, the Cummins would be a much better tow rig, and weighs more, that's not the point the video and OP we trying to make. Sheesh.

I think it's because so many people like to compare apples and oranges instead of apples to apples. Comparing a Diesel Dodge to an F150? Comparing a 5.0 to an Eco Boost F-150 would be a nice comparison!

Oh I totally understand the issue with this comparison (Apples/Oranges).

Hmmm. Interesting vid. But I always thought that trucks were never meant to be "dragged?" At least that was the excuse when the F-150 only had the boat anchor we like to call the 5.4 and 300 hp.

As far as weight goes, the newer 6.7L cummins weighs in at 7400lbs. I expect the 5.9 to be a bit less:

2010 HD Truck Specs and Testing Approach - PickupTrucks.com Special Reports

The difference of about 1400lbs mentioned before seems plausible... as for the dodge ram weighing closer to 8000 lbs, that's bull; the 6.7 megacab dually barely weighs that.

This video won't change anyone's truck buying decision, but it will give you an idea of what may happen at the stop light... Btw, the chances of coming up at a stop light next to a cummins in your ecoboost unloaded are much bigger than coming up to a stop light, with equal 10000lb trailers behind it, and another 1400lbs in the bed of the f150 just to make it "fair".
