1979 f250 S-Cab is a go!!looking for opinions

I finally got my trucks paperwork squared away so now I can start pumping $$$ at it lol. Specs: 1979 F250 S-Cab 400M/C6/np205/D60'sF+R 3.54:1. I got it out of the junkyard 2days before it was gonna be crushed...Wtf is wrong with people????So it needs some work cause it was stripped of some stuff, nothing to major- some marker lights W/wiring, most of the interior(only has carpet, headliner, jump seats and dash in it( no instruments/radio/hvac controls).Body is almost mint for New England :cab corners,a little bubbling around window, and in the door jamb, small hole in floor, bed is junk but I have another. So my plans are get it roadworthy and get some miles on it to find any issues before I start going crazy. This is gonna be an all around do anything truck, haul, tow, wheel and most of all be a winter vehicle with plowing( my driveway and a few friends only).I need tires so Ive decided to go 35"-36"- Im trying to find some used 16x10 rims at the moment- What backspace are you all running/ suggest to run with fenderwells to avoid rubbing.I have a Edelbrock performer, need a carb -anyone try a Quadrajet on one of these motors? I have at least 3 I could use( no haters-i like em and know them pretty good). Gonna change to a straight up timing set and possibly a cam when I do the intake. I dont wanna go crazy with the motor cause Im considering a cummins swap in a year or two-$$ dependent. I have 2 parts trucks as well: a std cab f250 400m/4sp/np205/d60'sF+R and a F150 ( for body parts mainly)I trying to decide how/if I want to get 2"-3" of lift:add-a-leafs, body lift( not crazy about these),rear shackle flip/front hanger drop- I want this to a little sit higher and level. I have a dump bed conversion, which was taken off my other F250,Im gonna try and fit on it if It wont take to much Fab work.So thats where Im at - what ya think?Ill be around, hopefully make some friends and have some fun with our trucks.

As for how to lift it I would go with a good suspension kit (new leaf springs, rear blocks, etc). I have a body lift on mine but the only reason I chose to use it is it made stuff go together easier.... If it wasn`t for trying to patch stuff together it would have been a suspension. Well good luck with it.

Nice save. On the lift you can use front super duty springs (I used 99 V10 springs) for around 2 1/2in lift with some bracket mods for around $100 and the rear an add a leaf for about $75 to $100.
