Here's something kinda different. Not really a part of the contest, but for those familiar with the San Diego area, you'll see some familiar sites.
https://vimeo.com/sign_up
Ya gotta sign up with an acct (or just use your facebook acct) and then search on:
'Americas Finest Timelapse' to see the video with many sites you'll recognize.
To not disappoint those not wanting to bother with vimeo, here's an easy one: happy laboring today.

Sure reminds me of being in or around La Jolla. One of the prettiest places on the West Coast!
The big open green area is Scripts Park.
Edit:
Adrian was posting, I was typing.
Adrian,
Did you ever get down on the beach about a mile or so north of there? Long walk down a paved road to the beach.

I taught my son to swim in La Jolla cove. Then I fixed him up with mask and fins. He took off like a little motorboat heading straight out to sea. He got out about three or four hundred feet, stopped and looked around and he freaked out because he was so far from shore. I went and got him and on the way back I got him to focus on all the sea life. Great day, great memory. I lived in Encinitas at the time, about 35 years ago.

'The rumor is that a little girl named Alice was stung to death by bees as she played in the attic. Now she is seen in the tower room and in the school/play room. When my son Tommy was painting and wallpapering there, I saw the beehive that was between the walls covering at least two floors of the building. Tommy said late at night, as he was out to smoke, he saw the girls' shadow in the attic window.
One evening just before sunset we saw birds vortex into the chimney. Weird!'
Luckily it was closed and we didn't go inside...

Jim,
Been gone for the last two days to Carpinteria, just got back.
I've lived here in California for about sixty years, and that's a LOT of roaming around....
I think my weak spots would be in the mountains north of Truckee, and on up into the extreme Northeastern part of the state.
I'd bet on a miles per year basis, however, I don't hold a candle to Sean's exploits!
