Wes,
As an avid wood worker I suggest lots of practice with the iron if you are going to free hand the wood burning. If not I suggest getting a wood burning stamp that you can change letters in and such... either way you'll need practice before you take a run at the real wood. buring can be trickey if you haven't done it before... Hell even when I use my wood burning stamp on the furniture i've restored (and made from scratch) i get a little cockeyed some times... Just a heads up b/c I don't want to see a "WTF! I screwed it all up!!!!!!" post from you later... let us know how it goes!

Good advise Nathan.....I planned on making it something simple.....And something that if I DID sorta get it off center, it would look good...

Same boat... I have 15-20 projects running and the wife coming up with more! Plus we are looking for a house right now... And we're only operating on my single income since she is in school!

thanks guys! alaskan, funny you should ask that kitty question, btw thats a sexy cat!
link 1# mercurycougar.net, if your not , registered do! lots of great guys and a ton of info

http://www.mercurycougar.net/forums/...re-Size-Combos

2nd , my cougar with her 17x8 paws front 245/40/17 and the rear 245/45/17
imo the 17x9 is too large with out doing a later model style chassis in the front

this picture give you a clearance perspective even though no fender,

this one give you a good idea of wheel well fitment

i dont have any pictures, in the daylight , with the 17's and the engine in

also feel free to check out my photobucket , my user name is jk69cat
