INSIDE FRONT ROTORS RUINED 350 DUELLY

my 96 460 4x4 duelly dump/salt spreader has me perplexed...the pedal was pulsing BAD and weak.....so I tore it apart and the outside of the rotors are PERFECT,and the inside are WASTED ! the worst I have ever seen.....the pins and boots that move are very free I am ready to change the rotors at napa or aaaaaaaaaauto zone but not till I figure out WHY it is wearing this way....what is wrong here in Omaha mike

What was the condition of the inner pads? And, I can't remember, is that a dual piston caliper? And was the damage the same on both sides?

Are your backing plates rotted away? If they are that may cause the inside of the rotor issue.

The calipers float on the outside. I feel the rotors are warped, causing the inside pads to go. (Pulsing pedal?) Plus check for hung calipers. Can't turn 'em. (rotors) Too much play. Have the hoses checked while you're at it.

Pulsing comes from an uneven rotating rotor pushing on the pads. Even an uneven brake drum will become out of round from heat or external instances. (Even a bent rim will do the same.) Please spend the time, and precious $$$ to get it straight and don't gamble on it being road-safe. We will be here to help in every way we can.
Regards,
Dan

96 Dana F350 do not have a 1 piece front hub/rotor. They are seperate. Return the assembly and buy the RIGHT rotors
