So Dirty it's been two years since any activity on this thread. What happened?? Obviously the build continued, but how about continuing the story. There is some great advice here for those considering an overhaul of an IDI. I hope to follow your example in early 2015 and yard out my engine, strip the block and give it a hi-pro rebuild with R&D goodies.

 

I think he is bored with the truck.... He was talking recently about messing around with his 351VE turbo some more, but I don't know how serious he is about it.

 

Hey. I am new here just curious if you guys are still working on that engine. I have been thinking about rebuilding one myself. I have one in a truck and another sitting in my drive way. I have thought about going to R&D IDI performance. Getting some parts from them. I have also liked the Hypwrmax set up for a turbo.

 

Back in 2012 I put it back together and sold the engine. So this project is no longer. I'd definitely go with R&D , I'm thinking R&D will be growing in popularity even more than it has been in the near future.
