Your truck can be named Ol' Blue, Black Knight, Big Red, Mean Green, etc... and still be referred to as "a Bullnose Ford". Doesn't bother me; besides, mine has a new nickname everyday anyway.
I know what you're saying. Perhaps I'm overthinking it or just don't like the thought of clicking on the "Bullnose Forum". No offense intended to those who like the name.

I think it would only end up being a subheading on the sub-forum listing page, for example:

------------------------------------------------------
1980 - 1986 F100, F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks
Discuss the Bullnose Ford Trucks
------------------------------------------------------

...or similar. Which I think would look more in keeping with the rest of the sub-forum listings... right now it's:

------------------------------------------------------
1980 - 1986 F100, F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks
1980 - 1986 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350 and larger pickups
------------------------------------------------------

The subheading is a reiteration of the main heading because we don't yet have a nick-name.

I'm still down with the bullnose. As it's been mentioned eight trillion times, it's kind of hard to differentiate three gens of trucks that have the same body line by using a side term. Plus, why do we have to be a _____side? Why can't we do something different?

The front end is easily the most visible difference between the 80-86, 87-91, and 92-97 trucks. Besides the changes in the grilles, headlight bezels, and front turn signals within the 80-86 trucks, the front end is still the same structure. Just as the terms "dentside" and "bumpside" cover the various changes between their gens year differences, "bullnose" will do the same for our gen.

And for the naysayers:

Yep, nothing cool about "bullnose"

What about "block sides"? They look like rolling cinder blocks.

I do LOVE that "Built ford tough" banner behind the gate. Prolly why I have one for my avatar.

Still not crazy about bullnose, though.......

dohc_chump ftw!! That sums it up. Also, we're not Chev heads, so not everything is standardized or interchangeable

btw, 'chump...that's a lot of p!$$#d hamburger!

Also just realized, pretty good counterpart reference to a "buckin bronco".

I don't think you need to name them by what they look like (probably end up being called 'block of flats' if you did that). Call them 'The Wanderers'. If you've ever driven one, you'll know why....

Please, do tell.

The only truck I've ever had wander on me was a 78 ford on out of round 44's...plus it had worn steering, and (obviously) no trac bar, so it had reasons. If the axle pivot joints are ok, I can't fathom how these trucks would begin to wander...???

"Bricknose" fits the 1987 - 1991 better.

Look at those pictures of the bull's face posted earlier, and it is obvious that the 1980 - 1986 trucks look like a bull from the front.
