Dent rebuild, steering questions

So here is the first of MANY questions regarding the rebuild of a 74 Dent. I got a new set of framerails since mine had a little rot. Going to put them side by side so I have good reference. So far the only difference I see is in the steering box mounts. My 74 has the steering box on the outside of the rails. My new rails have the box on top of the rails with the top flange bent up. No I see a couple ways to attack this. I can bend the rails and use the old box, or I can use the new box. If I use the new box, how much else needs to be changed? I am thinking drag links, tie rods etc. And if I use the new box should I get a junkyard whole new front end and upgrade to discs on the front so it will actually stop? And lastly, to get discs, do I need to change the whole front end or just kingpins out? Thank you guys for everything.

Well a little more info would be good. Is it 4x4, f150, f250,2x4. This info will make it easier.

Thank you. I did not realize I forgot those little details. It is a 74 F250 4x4.
