Ques about a 95 E350 7.3L diesel
Hello Group,
I ran across a high mileage E350 with the 7.3l powerstroke engine that I thought I could use as an occassional tow vehicle for my 31' travel trailer. it has 276K but have been told everything works. I thought the diesels installed in the vans produce less power, does anyone know how much hp/tq they produce? For the price if something breaks that is too expensive I would just junk it, I guess I wanted to give diesel a try and at this price it won't hurt the budget. I have read that the diesels can get 300K but I am want to hear comments/suggestions.
Thanks
Joe

The van engines are the exact same as the truck ones.
That would be the early PowerStroke 7.3 witch I am no sure about the exact numbers, but I know it's around 210HP and 380ft. Torque.
Those can easily go 500k miles with good maintenance! Although they do cost a fortune to keep going as the parts for them are really expensive. 1 Injectors is around 350$ while on my older non turbo Diesels, it cost around 150$ for all 8 injectors!
Just an example.
They will defenently work though! I'll give 'em that.
The most important thing you have to look out for in those years, is the ****ty transmissions those have, the E4OD 4 speed automatic, it's around 2000$ to rebuild that silly tranny!
