What is it worth???

What do you guys think?

1999 F150 7700 - 136,000 miles. Lariat. Clean - 4 door - bells and whistles -

These trucks are hard to get price on

and if I get my mechanic look at, what in particular should they look at ?

thanks

I cant find a listing on there for the 7700 package.
Dose it have the 4.6 or 5.4?
I added in a few more options and the 5.4 But still cant find the 7700.
It bumped the price up some but it still looks low for that truck in good shape.

sounds like a nice truck. One thing is it is 12 years old. Other good thing is its 4 x 4 and has 4 doors. I think $7500. would be high end. What do they want for it ?

Anytime I ever sold a truck or car ,I always set the asking price at least 1000 bucks higher then I wanted...lol
Talk him down some if you like it and want it.

thanks

and you are so right

checking it out tomorrow - gotta say seller has been very upfront !

See below: direct quotes:

1. The wiper switch activates sometimes causing the wipers to come on going down the road at times. Switch works fine and wipers always work when you turn them on they just seem to randomly sweep when the switch isnt on sometimes as well. When I had the truck serviced at xxxx Ford I was told the switch needed to be replaced. I priced the part and its cost is 70bucks. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
<o></o>
2. Tears in the seats, all the foam is in tact just has a few tears in leather, if you would feel more comfortable before seeing it in person I can send pics. <o></o>
<o></o>
3. Valve Cover has a slight seep and you can see a bit of grease from the oil, this isn't a major leak and xxxx Ford said it was normal and I could replace the Valve Cover Gaskets for about 50bucks. <o></o>
<o></o>
4. Rear Main Seal leaks, has a slow drip of oil. Told by xxx Ford of problem and the cost for the part is about 30bucks. The labor for the replacement is about 800 though. <o></o>
<o></o>
5. Odometer works and counts fine but the backlight on it doesn't always light up so you cant always see the mileage. Truck is about to trip 132,000 very soon.<o></o>
<o></o>
6. There is now a small hole in the front grille where a box flew up going down the road. I have a new grille on the way for it though.<o></o>
<o></o>
Other then that there are no problems with the truck.

see anything that SCREAMS problem??? I am having my mechanic check out tomorrow

That all should give you plenty of bargaining room.
Good luck.

Now a question for you all:

Clearly the F-250OLD is really an F-150 7700 but it is the 1999 version. So in truth, it is a 1/2 ton truck -

but the vin pulls a F-250

anyone gone after the taxes and insurance rates regarding the fact that it really is NOT a F-250?

Hey congrats on the new truck.
I hope you get plenty of pleasurable and reliable miles out of it.

Not sure on the differences between a LD F-250 and a 7700 F-150.
