Fluttering noise sounds like air pressure but can't tell. Front end done, new tires, drive shaft checked..annoying sound. Mechanics can't find it. I have a box truck Rockland body with a fiberglass roof. The sound sounds exactly like you open up one window and close the other in your car. Air fluttering. But opening the windows in the cap of my truck doesn't do anything to help it. Happens even if I shut the engine off in neutral at 7MPH and up> driving me nuts
Moved to correct forum. Hopefully you will get an answer. I would suggest the speedometer cable, but you don't have one. Electric speedo or odometer? Just grasping at straws here.
What is a doghouse seal? This sound is constant at all speeds with engine off even in neutral. I even hear it at 3 MPH could it be a speedometer cable?
No, I had the engine cover off while traveling and still heard the noise. Still has a speedo cable?

You do not have a speedometer cable. The speedometer is driven by an electrical signal sent by the VSS in the rear axle. The speedometer mechanism in the dash may be failing and causing the noise. Does the noise increase as speed increases?
The noise increases, yes. But there is also a little movement when you look at the mirrors. There is a slight shake I never did mention...slight. Still sounds like air pressure on the ears. Fluttering...low decibels. Really annoying. Can't be normal.
Have you checked the tires? Mine made something like that when I had bad tires on it. If it is the tires, rotating them should change the nature of the noise.
What do you mean by a little movement? The mirrors are moving? These vans are notorious for wind noises.
Tires new rotors new brakes new sway bar new. Drive shaft and diff checked...ok. If you didn't read it happens when the engine is off as well in neutral moving
