Arrow Acid/Chemical Dipping

Does anyone know of anywhere, in Tennessee, that does acid/chemical dipping and has a tank capable of dipping a cab and related body panels? Preferrably local to North West TN. Until recently when I bought it, my truck has been sitting out in the weather and there is no way soda, media, or sand would ever get all the rust. My friend said there is a place in Memphis but he couldn't remember the name. Thanks!

I don't know if they are in TN or not but try Redi Strip. Had a Model A dipped 25 yrs ago and it cost 2500 at the time. FYI they will have to drill holes in the roof. If all else fails pick up a copy of Hemmings, they should have some sort of listing for chemical stripping. A lot of them have gone out of business in the last 20 yrs, there is still one in Watchulla FL I believe (not Redi strip). Good Luck.

Assuming you can find a place to do it, you will find that you could buy a new cab for less money than it would cost to dip yours. This process is pretty much reserved for the high-rollers who are restoring historically significant automobiles. My recommendation would be to use media blasting where you can and spot treat the remainder with chemicals and rust encapsulating paints.

Thank you all for your help! Looking forward to hearing back from you tacson. I would soda blast it but you can only blast what you can point the gun at. The places I'm worried about rust coming back 5-10 years down the road are the creases and crevices you can easily miss, much less blast. Anyone that knows rust, knows it's the devil! Lol My friend told me that my old boss, at the hotrod shop I worked at, told him the place in Memphis wanted $1500 for just a cab. That would be worth every penny considering I only paid under $800 for a nearly complete truck. How about Tekton 34, anyone ever used that stuff.
