New Member - Looking to buy F350!

Hello all,

Just sold my car and I am looking to buy a Diesel F350

I've noticed many of you guys get great deals on new and used trucks, so who is your favourite dealers with the best deals?

2010 or 2011 model.

Thanks!

Research, and FTE is a good place to start. Figure out what you want the truck to do for you. Research prices, capabilities, problems and anything else, then start looking for what you need and you will find it.

suggest you drop down to the different forums for the motors you are looking at and read some of the stuff so you are the well informed buy.

Milkman has it right...start with what you intend to do.

Welcome to FTE, ///machine.

It is surprising that you'd want a diesel, given the current fuel prices and short term outlook.

Is this just something you have always wanted, or do you really need a Power Stroke? The reason I ask is that I have found a lot of owners who purchased a Power Stroke because they wanted one end up regretting the purchase. Be prepared for higher fuel prices and higher maintenance costs. One lady I know with an '08 6.4L PSD was complaining to the other day about high fuel costs and $110 oil changes.

Not trying to talk you out of a Power Stroke. I just want you to be realistic about your expectations.

As senix recommends, go down to the engine forums and study up on each engine before you make any decisions.

thanks for the warm welcome guys

Yeah I basically have my mind set on the Diesel F350. 2010 or 2011 model.

We have a 05 F350 which we use for hunting and towing the camper trailer... but that used only for that purpose and insured only during hunting season. Also its not my personal vehicle, the group of us bought it for hunting camping only... no personal use.

In reality I don't really need a truck, I just want one. I sold my hardtop convertible BMW just yesterday and wanted to change... yes I know, a the opposite end of the spectrum lol.

I'm open to any dealer, just looking for some referral to one that offers the best deals. Its no big deal to have it shipped.

Thanks

The 2011 has the all new motor, if it was me I would not consider the 2010.

2011 does have the new motor and slightly upgraded interior... but personally I don't like the exterior... its much "softer" looking then the 2010.

What are the incentives right now on new purchase?

If your heart is set on a 2010 then go for it, I imagine the incentives are better on the older ones.
