I really don't know much about this model but I can give you some ideas that apply to any of them.

You need to crawl under, look at everything. Pay attention to the plumbing and how is secured, look at all the tanks if you can. Check to ensure that there is good supports.

Check axle rating and tire ratings..are they right for the wet wt load?

Check for recalls.

Look inside at all the seams and corners for leaks or evidence.

We just ordered a heartland greystone 33CK......check out the HEARTLAND OWNERS FORUM on their website www.heartlandrvs.com you can find a lot of info there. We were quiet impressed with the sundance product upon viewing them at a rv show and looking them over at a dealer. Good luck and be sure to post pics when you get it.

Most manufacturers have a low/mid/high range model. The Sundance would be considered lower mid-range for Heartland RV's. Find a floorplan you like. Get a feel for the construction and things you do and don't like about it. Odds are, you will feel a "want" to upgrade to a different brand or model after a year or two. Either way, if this is your first fiver, it is a nice "starter". Good luck.
