Who's done one? What did you use to construct it? I'm thinking about using the bottom 6" of a '49 to '52 dash danel to make one. Does anyone have a rust bucket cab I can buy the bottom part of the dash from from door to door?

I made my extension from a section of aluminium channel - just cut some groves in the back side to allow it to be bent to the correct curve in the appropriate spots. I then covered it to match my door cards and mounted my switches etc in it.

that looks great.... do you have a pic of the other side? I'm wanting one to mount my head unit, mount air vents and cover up the air conditioning housing when it's installed...

Moe,

I've contemplated the same thing, but I'm years away from having to put serious thought into it.

It should be interesting to see what folks have come up with

LOL... I hear you there Bobby... Things just pop into my mind and unless I plan it out and work on it, it bugs me... Hoping to do the air next winter, as I can save up the money to buy it...

DASH

I made mine by tracing the bottom of the dash and making a cardboard templet. I also built in the column bracket. This is my favorite custom job. I like the exhaust too. But i got that from drewski.
