What are the best fluids to use?

I've finally got myself some garage space and things are starting to warm up here in Cape Cod so I'm going to tackle all my fluids. I got the truck about two months ago, and changed the oil (and filter), but that's it.

I want to do a complete change of all fluids throughout my truck ('03 7.3 in sig and pic) so I have a benchmark for when they were all done last.

I am also going to be changing all my filters, and would appreciate any recommendations for these as well. I don't mind paying the extra buck for the good stuff, as long as I know it is worth it...I want my truck to last as long as it can, and I know fluids are a large part of this battle.

As for oil, I've got a bucket of Rotella 5-40 that I am going to use, then switch to synthetic after about 1000 miles just to give it a nice cleaning inside. What are my options for synthetic motor oil?

Let me know what other info you need, but for the rear end I do have one tire spin when they break loose, so that is one issue I would like to deal with.

This is a full synthetic? How come they don't advertise it anywhere?

Brainfart, LOL! great way to start the thread eh?

So, back on topic....I'm going to use this bucket then do another change and switch to full synthetic. I've got a quick drain valve plug im going to put in so i can do quick samples, and when my oil just starts to get nice and black im going to switch it out to the synthetic. I'll probably go with Rotella 5-40 synthetic, unless somebody says its no good or there is better stuff out there.
