yeah i figured it was you the truck catches your eye. ( i would be driving the 49 too if i had those 2 choices unless the 93 is all lifted up ha ha) i drive a 97 f250 diesel the only one in town with glass packs on the exhaust as far as i know. i live out toward dupont i am sure i will see the truck more now that i will recognize it as an FTE member.

well, I always had an idea of what I wanted to build but could never find a good base to work from. seems like all the old vehicles around here are either to far gone, cobbled up, or just plane junk. I looked for a long time and at a lot of bondo mobiles and trucks that were so messed up i decided that if I were going to find one that would suit me I would need to head south or west, so i did both and found this one in Mineralwells TX. I am what I would consider to be the second owner of the truck. It was bone stock when I bought it and still has all the origional sheet metal. once I got it home i spent a few years building and rebuilding till I found the right combination that suited the truck and also my wants. I like different, always have. The performance big block is way to much for the little truck, and the jaguar rear is a little out of place in comparison to the rest of the truck but again I like different. posted a few more pics yesterday of some of the build in progress. The motor I used to set everything up was a 390 i salvaged from a 69 LTD, thats why if you look at some of the pics you will notice a few minor differences. also the other 2 cars in some of the pics are my dads 48 coupe that he found in KS and his 33 coupe from SC both cars are all steel as well. (BTW, my truck is also a 48. I have had the "49" address so long it really isnt practical to change it) I have had a few older fords such as a 54 that i found before my 48 but i got rid of it because it wasnt what I truely wanted. and a 77 high boy that i bought as a kid and rebuild and made one bad a** truck out of it but the wife (at the time) hated it and pushed and pushed till i let it go. now Im on the look out for another old ford truck, panel, milk truck, whatever I find ( as long as its ford) to build a hard core 4X4. the last 4X4 I built was an 06 SD i bought new in the spring of 06 and in the fall of 06 I stripped it and went through most everything. 8 1/2" lift, 20" wheels, 38" tires, new intake, exhaust, brush guard, fender flares, super chips flash pack tuner, and MUCH more. but being layed off for a while tends to thin the toys a bit. hated to let her go, but I had the 48 title in the safe and the SD title was at the bank. well, thats a brief history of my addiction to all things ford. I will get some pics posted of my earlier builds in the next day or two and thanks for the interest!
