Congrats. My brother in law is a big chevy fan, and on more than one occasion, we've been comparing trucks, and each time he's said "it looks like everything on the fords are much beefier, and more heavy duty". Most recently, he was riding in the back of my new truck, and said "man this thing has a lot more room than my crew cab." I still don't understand why he hasn't seen the light yet.

Thanks guys! The reasons why I switched...
  1. less problems reported with the DEF on Ford than Duramax
  2. Ford dealer gave me $30,000 to trade for my Duramax, and Chevy dealer only $19,000.
  3. Love the tailgate handle and step to get feed and bales in and out of the box
  4. Much more leg room in the backseat for my crew
  5. The Ford 6.7 "felt" better when we compared both the new Duramax and the Superduty
  6. The dash and inboard creature comforts are much more technologically advanced, especially love the computer. Chevy's dash and gauges are old and boring.
  7. Ford didn't take the bailout.
  8. Ford sponsors the "Built Ford Tough" bullriding events. (huge fan)
  9. my queen liked the looks of the bigger beefier Ford.
  10. Ford dealer threw in a spray-in liner, mudflaps, and threw in 5 oil changes for free.
  11. Ford dealer was excellent to work with, Chevy dealer acted like he could care less if i bought one or not.
  12. Front seat converts to bench seat. I told my Queen that was now the "girlfriend seat". She loves it!

My favorite is the power folding mirrors, only Ford has them. Once I found out GM did not offer them I just left without the test drive.

Congrats on the new truck, You made a step in the right direction.
I was die hard GMC guy......But Ford builds far better and tougher trucks hands down.

Wow! Those are 12 great reasons, especially the Chevy dealer being less than enthusiastic. Gee, could it be because Chevy already took the bailout?

My co-worker owns a chevy HD. That is why he is always in my office looking at my truck.

Welcome aboard.

Right move at the right time! Congrats and enjoy the truck! I am a big perponent of "using what you buy". Us it, don't abuse it, just and it will last a long long time!
