You're doing a great job and I love how it's looking. I did notice you don't have the rubber skirt under the cab. Have you just not installed it yet?

Thanks.
The skirt rubber is there, we just cut the length short because it wanted to pucker around the corner. Didn't think anyone would notice. Thanks for proving me wrong eagle eye haha

Where did you get the running boards? Are they the original, they are the long ones for F250, what is the black stuff on top?

The boards are smoothy steel LB running boards from Mid-Fifty F-100 Parts.

The 'black stuff' are rubber covers we had custom moulded.

Just an update.....Except for a few little details the truck is done. Here are a few pictures as it stands today.

We're still runnin' the old straight-6 star on the grille even though there is now a V8 in it....

But then again, maybe the three-two intake counts as a straight six....haha.

Next, I get to calibrate the speedometer and set-up the cruise control, and work out any bugs that may spring up, then it will be time to put it away for the winter.

Thank you all for the kind words. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Joe.

real nice, great job, love the color. It all fits together, it doesn't look long a long F-250, if you know what I mean...

Awesome Work

Amazing work! I have a long way to go on my 55 F250. Looking on your progress pictures really makes me want to start tearing mine down. Problem is that I don't know much about restoring these trucks. Mine was my grandpa's that I bought after he passed away. He did manage to get the old 239 running in it though. I'm slowly learning more and more about everything but haven't started on it much. It does run and drive nice though so I'm happy for that. I have always been into old trucks so it's been a whole new experience learning more about restoring them.
Thanks for the new motivation!

Welcome to FTE! I have a 55 F250 as well and it is in a million pieces at the moment. Start a new thread and post pictures of your truck. There is a lot of info on this site to get you going in the right direction.

Very nice looking build, not exactly the way I would but,,,,,,Let me rephrase that is one extremely nice build. With that nailhead torque and OD tranny, that thing should be one fine road cruiser.
