man you wasted some $$$ , you could have gotten the codes read at autozone or an autoparts store, bought the plugs and cop there if they were both bad and saved you a ton of $$$

service engine soon on ?

Hey BlitZ- Maybe he figured since he was at the "stealer" already, why not have the work done or he needed his ride asap for work or travel. Whatever, like you said, we are here to help him, like I got helped.

dont give him such a hard time. He said it has been well maintained. might have had new plugs and coils after 100k miles and the one coil just had a premature failure. HE has it replaced, might be good for 5 more years.

I just hate to see someone waste money at the dealership when we could have helped them. In my case though it seems I may have to go to the dealership since i have no CEL and my idle dropping while stopping problem is driving me crazy lol. I am sure its not the IAC b/c the motor idles fine when the truck is sitting still, it when I get to about 700 Rpm when coming to a stop the idle does a free fall to 500Rpm comes back up to 650Rpm then it sounds like the engine goes veroom really low as the idle goes up to 750Rpm then back down to 650Rpm and stays there with no further change.
