Anti-seize on glow plugs

I have read posts about putting anti-seize on glow plugs to help remove them later. Do you just put it on the threads or cover the whole tip? Thanks, Dave

Just a slight amount on the threads only..... Beru states they do not use it, nor is it required. Too many have snapped the GPs off due to rusting.

GP torque is 12ftlbs or 12 of a turn after bottoming..... do not over torque them.

You may be mixing up the injector installation.... I always cover the complete barrel from copper washer up to and including the threads. This would assist in deterring carbon from jamming the injector in the bore should it happen.

country_boy_2007, anti-sieze also has metal flakes in it (copper and other IIRC) and works well for heat transfer, electrical conductor, etc, as well as its intended anti-sieze purpose
