Cummins swap questions.

I have a few questions for those of you with Cummins 12V's in your Fords. This is for my 92 F350 C&C 4x4 dump truck. It started life with a 460, then I swapped in a 6.9 IDI....That took a dump this winter so now it sports a 7.3 IDI until the cummins is ready. I'm stripping a 92 D350 donor truck right now.

1: exhaust manifold - leave it as Dodge installed it or flip it over to point the turbo up? I also have a commerical 5 ton manifold that mounts the turbo close to the block under the manifold.

2: What are you using for a starter and trans adapter plate? I plan to make my own.

3: What are you using for Fan shrouds and rads? I have a 460 rad and shroud here along with a new Allstar racing rad, all aluminum and big flow numbers.

4: What are you using for engine mounts?

5: What did you use for a throttle linkage and alternator? I would like to adapter my Taurus 3G alternator to fit so I can use my existing wiring.

6: I have a ZF 5spd, how far back did you have to move your trans back and what did you use for a throw out bearing?

7: What did you use for power steering hoses?

I plan to do the KDP mod and tinker with the VE pump....I'm using the stock Dodge I/C if it pass's my pressure test. I may gear up a 4" exhaust as well.

Of course destroked and ford-cummins for swap parts.or fab your own.if you can build the hoses just use existing rad.I am going to use electric fans.dual 16's.some guys in dd cummins get away without a fan(i am not down for that)I believe the industrial manifold at least on mine is going to fit better(prob not the best flowing, dont care)
4" is plenty big on my truck.5" i dont would fit well enough...

I have two 12V's here, one is a 92 with a VE pump from a Dodge and the other is a 95 with a P-pump from a 5-ton Ford school bus...I'm saving the ford unit to build a toy but I can take the manifold off it for the F350 if it will help the fit....I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the fan until I see it in there....I have some stock 12V fan drives here and some electric stuff too.....I don't feel like laying out $1000 to those guys for the swap gear - I would rather spend the money on tools for my shop so I can build my own and have the tools when I'm done.

I feel you on the whole not paying for something I can do myself.Besides my junk is not the normal cookie cutter magazine crap.

I am not even going to bother with the mechanical fan stuff.

I have a 97 dodge truck radiator and am going to stack two 16" pullers on and a boost refrence switch to activate a pusher for the intercooler/trans cooler flow.

I was hoping to use the stock fan if possible. I don't want to spend big money on the swap in my plow/dump truck as I want the 12V for a little more power and reliability....I'd rather save the dough for my other p-pumped 12V build so I can crank that one right up!
