SMOG regs - send an email & fight for change!

Take a minute & send an email. Hopefully with enough response the air for brains we have running this state will wake up & change things!

This is about changing the smogable year from starting in '76 to starting in '81. Now how many here could disagree with that!?!?!?!?!

how about instead if someone has them served with an order to restore the 30 year rolling exemption and cease and desist for tightening the limits, as that's a violation of the federal consumer protections?

damn governator

two of my cars were one and three years away from exemption, anything licensed before that assembly bill got passed should have been grandfathered.

they promised us safeguards against being ripped off by shops
they promised us it would not be a profiteering venture at our expense
they promised us the cars would not be tested in a manner they were not originally certified on/for/by

all have been broken

you can see the difference in the air here 25 years ago vs today, don't talk about things you know nothing about

Unfortunately there's probably to many environmentalists in CA to get the rolling cut off brought back but the exemption definitely needs to be updated

ok when them jumbo jets stop flying out of lax and ontario and san diego, then when the factorys stop pumping out the air polution all over southern california, youll see the difference, right now its just a tax on the small guy.

The air is cleaner than 25 years ago - even with what you mention going on. BUT that doesn't mean the bi-annual smog check most cars have isn't a burden on the little guy too.

When we do away with the "visual" inspection BS and test a car based on what comes out of the tailpipe for that year vehicle only is when I will agree with it.

I'm all for clean air, but not the goobernmental BS that comes along with the testing we are doing now.
