About 3 weeks ago my F100 decided to die on me. It is still unknown to what the problem could be as im to cheap to bring it into a shop when i can do it myself. It wouldnt start but it would turn over fine almost firing up but failing. so i figured it could be the carb. i took it off to find some gaskets wrecked and what not. went to order carb kit but partsource cant find it. Previous owner changed out the stock single barrel carb for what looks like a 2 barrel. now which carb is on it now is what im asking aswell as any advice if the carb isnt the problem? spark plugs? fuel filter? distrubutor? faulty battery? also take into account im from Alberta Canada and last few months have been brutally cold average of -24 celceus wit most nights below -30. also my place i live at had no outside plugins so it hasnt been plugged it all winter at all. thanks you for the help when its come.
also i will have to double check but the engine doesnt look like a straight six. looks like a V6. could be a totally new or diff engine than stock. the guy i got it from knew nothing about the truck was his daughters. also if i can put pictures up i will unless i need to pay for it then simply leave an e-mail and i can send them to you.

This sounds a lot like a fuel delivery problem.
Is there gas in the tank?
Take the fuel inlet off the carb (sounds like you've already done that) and direct it into a
glass jar, have somebody turn the key to try to start it and see if gasoline gushes into the
jar or not.
