Interesting question. 6.2L versus the Ecoboost and 5.0L
#61
I know I'm new on here, but I've been looking for threads on the 6.2...so I hope I don't rub anyone the wrong way!
I purchased a 2011 Lariat with the 6.2 about a month ago and I personally love it thus far. I haven't driven the EB myself, but I don't know anyone who has one that says they regret it.
Talking MPG, I drove from where I live to Dallas a few weeks ago on I20, which was about 180 mile trip and I was pretty surprised that I got 17.5 MPG on the trip. I also made a trip to Lubbock where I also got 17+ MPG, which was way more than I ever thought that engine would be able to produce.
However, I did make a trip back to my parents for Easter and it only got 16.1 MPG. But I think the issue there was that the highway I took had a lot more hills and also a bit of small town traffic, compared to the relatively flat and constant 75 MPH speed limit on I20.
