Lift, what to do?

Well we are finally getting around to replacing the springs, shocks, and sway bar endlinks. I have decided on Pro Comp after the numerous happy customers on this board. Money is an object but I would rather do this right once. Should I:

1) Buy a kit like K4012MX which is a 2" super duty kit giving my excursion roughly 4" and includes shocks and kit 52210-1 then add the rear springs
<O2) Buy the 22210 front, 22415 rear, shocks, and hardware kit<O></O>
3) Buy a 4" excursion kit and then buy rear springs to replace the blocks

<OStand by for poll!<O

Take a look at BDS. I have a rubicon express kit they no longer make it. My second choice would have been a bds kit. Just my .02

My vote is for PROcomp as well, they may give you blocks for the rear, but definitely get the correct springs for it. I hate using blocks, that's why I went all spring on my truck.

If I'm correct, most people have seen close to 6" of lift on the Excursions using the 22210 front and 22415 rear. I could be wrong though........

Well from what I have read on the web and gotten from reading on the forum here Pro Comp 22210 springs are about 4 inches depending on spring sag and 22415 should get me about 5 inches so I can get rid of the blocks. I am looking forward to getting his done because the constant bottoming out is really getting old.

I have been looking at the 4 inch kits, but with my ADD I may have kinda shifted focus and want to get a new gun also so I may be back to piecing a kit together.

I need a money tree.

In doing a little checking online, it seems that a complete 4in lift kit from pro comp is less than $900. Is there things not included in the kit that you would need to buy?

I have looked at the kits but most of them include and add a leaf and blocks. I am at 95 and some change thousand miles so if I am going to do this I want to replace all of the springs instead of adding a block and possibly having axle wrap problems.

I would like to see the pics because that is kinda what started this whole deal. I was going to do the v/b code swap but everyone around here either has shot springs or they think they are made of un-obtanium. After doing some research, mostly here I found out about the F-250 leveling kits giving the Excursion almost 4 inches so that is where we are now.

I did the 22210 and 22415 springs on my Ex last April and I love it. I also added the Rancho 9000xl's and a dual steering stabilizer. I'm extremely happy with the results. I too was trying to do the lift affordably. I waited until I needed new tires so that wasn't an extra expense.

By the way, I removed the rear block when I did the lift. The Ex now sits level.

I can't tell you if any other lifts or spring combinations will suit you better, but I'm quite happy with this new set up.

With the ProComp rear springs I did not need the block. It sits level without it.

broncorif, when I was doing some reading your X was on of the ones that made me decide It might be better easier to just get a lift instead of the other options. Have to towed anything since the lift, and if so was there much sag? I am thinking about putting the slapper spring and bottome spring in so I can get a little more height so when I am towing my headlights aren't aimed at the spcae station.
