I have a 96 F250 went to get it inspected today and they failed it for the high beam indicator light.Came home pulled the dash and changed the bulb but that did not fix it.Both high beam headlamp are working.Everything else works on the dash.Any idea's will be great.
I have to ask... how can they fail your inspection because the high beam indicator doesn't work?
I admit that I don't have to deal with inspections so I don't really know what it entails, but failing because the high beam indicator doesn't work seems ridiculous to me.
Possible loose ground or power wire. Or the wire it self is breaking apart an needs to be replaced. Check conection to see if there clean or not possible corrosion. An if it none of that get voltage meter an conecet to to the power wire an see if it draws any power when hi beams are on. if it doesnt its probly the relay in side your headlight switch that turns it from high to low. indicating its probly just old an warn out.
