If you used a mustang computer, yes it has two O2 sensor inputs. If it was a truck MAF computer, it only has one input. Have you checked for trouble codes, or are you getting a check engine light? If it's looking for an O2 sensor that isn't there, you will have a code for it.

I used a truck computer and harness. although i used the wrong computer(has auto trans controller). so i bought a new one for a stick shift and just trying to get the bugs worked out. it runs rough which is why i ask, sounds like it has a miss.

What did the 302 come from? Double check the firing order and make sure the plug wires are connected the same. Pull codes from the computer and see what comes up.

Follow the procedure here, but leave out the volt meter and watch the check engine light (if it works): EEC IV Self Test hookup

figured it out, cylinder 1 injector was unplugged from the harness. Plugged it in and now she runs great other than the stutter under load sometimes, but i attribute that to the computer thinking there is a trans behind it that isnt.
