2015 5.0 coyote cold drive tick/knock

Motor is knock/ticking clearest between 1500 and 2 RPM’s through all gears…. After driving a bit it clears up. Where should I start? Also what is the heaviest weight oil that you all recommend to use in these motors?

The variable valve timing system depends on specific oil viscosity range to function properly, so it's not a good idea to use oils with viscosity that are too far from recommended.

Those "ticks" from the valve train area is usually a failing roller bearing on a rocker arm or roller lifter on non OHC engines. The long you wait to fix it the more it will cost.
