Line X and 5th Hitch

When I get the new truck I want to have the line X done right away. What should I do for the best results? Get it drilled, then sprayed, then installed? Sprayed then total install? Install then spray?

Thoughts?

I did mine sprayed and then install. seems just fine.

I then painted everything with some black rust resistant paint.

when I bought my truck I had the holes drilled first, then the line-x sprayed....this way the warranty is not voided on drilling holes in the line-x, and the liner conforms and seals around your holes. Never had a problem with mine.

The best way to protect your bed would be to make all your add ons ( tool boxs , hitchs of any kind, trailer plug connecters, bed cap mounting holes, etc,,) that way who ever applies your bed liner will get all thoses fresh metal surfaces . I did have my hitch mounted and the trailer plug put in before the liner . But latter added a bed cap that had some holes to be drilled , also my in bed extra fuel tank - tool box added later, the last to be added was my wing - headache rack . I bought a small bottle of touch paint from NAPA to take care of exposed surface from drilling later.
