Gah! My seatbelt

So my drivers side seatbelt got all twisted and jacked up and I cannot get it straightened out. Any obvious tricks to get it untangled? This gawd seatbelt is giving me road rage.

You can twist it on the loop that it hangs on, but its a bit of a pain. Is that what your talking about, or is it twisted in the mechanism at the bottom?

If it twisted down by the gear, you need to get that twist out. If it involves removing the gear assy then make sure you are carefull not to lose the ball bearing or little plastic pieces. When you reinstall, you need to make sure to install it back in the correct angle/position that it was mounted. with seatbelts, it is all about the angle and position.

fortunately the twist is at the top, the bottom seems fine for the time being. Thanks!

What I do is try to fold the seatbelt strap over at a slight angle, and slide the belt clip down over the part I have folded. This will now flip the belt clip around. Folding the belt at an angle allows a bettter chance of untwist the belt. But, if it's easier to just unbolt it like stated previously, that may be the way to go. Good luck and safe driving.

If you slide the belt to the front of the shoulder holder you can fold the belt on itself and get rid of all the twists, I did passenger and driver's side in about 5 minutes, after about 20 minutes of figuring it out. You cant fold it in the middle of the metal rectangle on the shoulder harness, it is too narrow, it is wider on the ends.

Dudes, I got lucky. I unbolted it at the top, gave it a twist or 2 and now we in business. Thanks for the suggestions.

Actually those ain't legal for use on public roads, even when properly installed, so if you have a 5-pt harness and there are annual vehicle inspections where you live the inspection people may fail you for it...
