The 52 F6 is back together - 3rd time in 3 weeks I've had the trans/clutch pack out.

Glad it's done.

Got up early to open my shop, thought I can tackle the 10' of messed up gutter on the house before working on the panel......BUT NOOOOOOO. An hour job of cutting and replacing an out dated gutter did not pan out. Now have 10' of missing gutter and nothing fits. Spent half the morning trying to find a replacement, Nothing. Then wifey tell me her van is shaking while driving,So I looked at it and said you need tires, Well, I spent rest of the afternoon at a tire shop. And sunday is shot for any work on the panel too. Oh well may be next weekend. At least you guys are making progress.

Got my old gas tank painted. Rustoleum Hammered finish Black.

Finished the sound proofing on the back wall of the cab so I could put the tank in to see how the seat is going to fit so I can make some brackets to mount the seat so I could see if I fit between it and the steering wheel (good news, I fit!) so I would know if I need a new steering column ( I don't) so I can get the u-joints and steering shaft so I can place the motor in the engine bay with the headers on so I can build my motor mounts. Whew! All the little duckies just fell right in a row for me today. Next week maybe I can borrow the cherry picker again and figure out some motor mounts.

I got the final coat of paint on the frame. It didn't turn out as good as I would like, but it's going to be a driver, not a show truck. Besides, it's better to learn a new paint gun on the frame than on the body.

Now I'm cleaning all the little parts (spring hangers, bolts, etc.) in the media blaster. It's looking like it might be back on it's wheels next weekend. Then I'll need to finish the engine.

Drove her about 40 miles tonight... Was told by my friend that was behind me that the taillight that the PO cut and put into the fenders suck... I plan on going back to the OEM style taillights.... Need to find small patch panels for the rear fenders... It was fun to drive it tonight....

Baca, the hammer tone finish has become my favorite. I've got silver and black in various places on my F1. This was a productive weekend. Got the gauges, horns, and washer pump wired up. Painted part of the grille yellow and cleared, I'll silver hammertone the bars monday so I can mount it and wire the lights. I'll get one of the stainless bar kits next year, but for now it's silver hammer tone. My son put what I hope is the last coat of primer on the hood and pass door.
