MASS air Mustang EEC swap

ANyone do this?
FInd an advantage?

If not with the mustang, any other EEC's worth swapping to?

...yes I know it is not needed unless you modify stuff.
So how about a mustang SD EEC?

Plenty of the Gen1 Lightning guys have experience with using the Mustang computers. There is a lot of support for them with aftermarket tuners, more so than the truck PCMs. A few of the Bronco guys have done it as well. Out of the box the biggest issue I recall is the timing is a little too aggressive for use in a big heavy truck.

Mustang SD PCM....why?

why...exactly!
Just thought I would offer that up as a stepping stone.

Explain the "too agressinve" timing...is that a detriment? Like maybe the stang computer was "timed" to pull a light little car, vs a truck? Ping or detonation issues?

Correct, the timing curve can be a little too aggressive for use on a heavy truck. That can be taken care with a tuner. Nothing to be gained by going to a Speed Density Mustang PCM IMHO. Others may have input.
