i have a 1991 f250 4x4 460 id like to sawp in a c6 i a guy at work has a 2wd 1978 f150 with a bod 400 wood a have to get a jack shaft np 205 from a 70s 4x4 for this to work thank for any inof

To get a 2wd C6 to work you would either have to gut it and replace the output shaft with a 4wd one, rebuild it and then bolt on the transfer case adapter in place of the tailshaft housing or, as you suggest use a divorced transfer case. I would think your best bet would be to try and find a 4wd C6 which would be bolt in.
Hopefully other opinions will follow.
