There are two slots on the bottom part of the bumper in the hole.
I think you could take the big black plastic mount and put it in the center holes.
At first I thought the bumpers were different. I went digging in Google for more pics and from what I can tell the bumper itself is the same, but the black plastic bumper insert/lower valance looks different. I suppose it's possible to interchange the two, or have a dealer ding up a bumper on their lot and throw on a bumper from another truck of the same color to make a sale.
The scary part about this is that I have been around long enough, and heard enough horror stories about dealers doing switches to unsuspecting customers, that it would not surprise me that a person would request a certain engine, and the dealer slip in something else.

Just thinking about that possibility makes my blood boil. I can just hear the dealership saying "sir, you should have checked the entire truck before taking delivery. We can only offer you trade in value towards the correct truck."
It looks different as we are all used to the centered plate. But honestly not much of an issue with me either as mine is ordered! I really don't like any plate on the front, but in MN don't have a choice on that. Like said previous kinda like another name badge letting you know an Ecoboost is coming!
While I am waiting for my truck to be built and delivered I am thinking about a spray in liner, mud flaps and a Topper or cover. Anyone have any pictures of what they did on the exterior? Show us your covers, toppers, or anything else cool you added to your truck!
While I've read a number of posts both here and in the EB forum on this matter, I can't imagine that anyone could consider a license plate mount to be a deal breaker.
I consider this as giving the truck it's very own identity. A badge of recognition if you will.
BIG +1
An offset license plate a deal breaker? Get real, that's just flat out ridiculous.
I too was concerned about that big hole in the front. I have had a couple of objects seemingly fly in there (plastic bottle, aluminum can) but hadn't noticed any damage. I plan on putting some type of screen down there when I get the time.
