I've had a couple of emails from guys wanting to get together and look at and talk Ford Trucks. particulary the slightly older variety, but we could have a Round-Up that was for all Ford Trucks.

I'm in South Austin.

Maybe we could make a short run through the Hill Country and grab some BBQ at one of the following:

The Salt Lick in Driftwood
Coopers in Llano
Any of the Top Notch BBQ places in Lockhart

or others.

Sounds like a great plan to me. I'm just north of Austin, and my wife and I would like to attend, but I won't have my engine done until mid to late April. That working student life doesn't leave you much free time during the semesters.

I, as well as the people we might pass, would love to see a caravan of vintage F-series trucks winding through the hill country. And stopping for good barbecue along the way.

Anybody else in the area interested in a meeting of sorts?

 

Keep working on that motor and give us updates. I'm not in a hurry, maybe we can get a good size group if we wait a bit.

If all else fails I guess we could should for Memorial Weekend to increase the chances for people to be off. Just a thought. I guess that would be Sunday the 25th of May.


Sooner may be better for slightly cooler temps. I suspect many of us are AC deprived.

 

I think that would be a great weekend to have it in. I live in Taylor but work in north Austin. I should have my 66 efi/aod conversion running by then(fingers crossed).
