Post 1987 F250 4x2 - 4x4

Hey guys so I know theres about a billion post on 4x4 swaps but I had some questions, My truck is an 87 f250 4spd 460 4x2 I was wanting to convert it to 4 wheel now the heart of the question is the is a local parts yard with an 89 f250 4x4 351 auto with leaf springs, now I was wondering if any part of this would be a direct bolt in swap. Thanks

Duct Tape Racing is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
everything but the 351 due to mount perches (i believe) and the auto. Everything else will be direct bolt up

F150`s are a direct bolt up not F250`s.

That's true because F150s use coil springs on 4x4 and 4x2 whereas the F250 uses coils on 4x2 and leafs on 4x4.

The F250's and up have a different frame for 4x4's because of the leaf springs.

It's a rather big job and not even worth it to convert one. Just sell off and buy a 4x4. If you like your truck to much, you'll have to get use to 2wd, or spend and waste lots of money and time.
