1989 Ford deisel motor 7.3 litre tranny

I have a 1989 f350 U-Haul with 7.3 litre deisel the tranny is blown what I am wanting to know is I have a Ford motor home with 7.5 litre deisel motor can the tranny from the motor home match up with my uhal motor

The bolt patterns are different, but I have heard that by drilling some new holes in the bellhousing you can make it work.

I think it will work and being a incomplete chassis to start with might have the added clutch frictions and steels like the diesels had
