Line X paint job?

It all depends on how long you want to keep the truck. The pros are few, but solid; an easy to care for, long lasting coating that will get you cool points for a long time. The cons are many and can be pretty bad; high cost (compared to a mid level MAACO job), weight and wind resistance (expect worse mileage), oxidation (when it does go bad, it is reallr tough to fix right) and finaly rust. If you ever get a water path behind the linex, or clog drain holes allowing water to get trapped, the results can be really bad esp when you have a coating you can't repair easy (think about the wheel wels and rocker panels. If you do get the Linex do your self a favor and buy a CASE of cold galvanizing spray and get sloppy with it. after that go over the visible parts with a flat black (cheap primer will do the job). Personally, I'd pick a line to do below, say mabey the bottom 12", or from the headlights down. I would not do the inside of the wheel wells. It is easier to give them a quick touch up than replace them.

Its still a thought. like i said before its not for everyone. however i did notice on the line x site that there were a few other trucks completely coated with line x so it wasnt persay the worst idea ever beause its been done. i guess its one of those different strokes for different folks. I appreciate everyones opinon on the subject. the reason the cost of the paint job i am looking at is 5500 is because its being changed from white to a different color. reason being is that I dont like a solid white truck besides i got a couple new fenders and a door so it will probably be multi colored by the time its ready for paint anyways. I really want my truck painted grabber blue. beautiful color just beautiful.
