I set it down a couple of times like that while blasting it, didn't cause any problems yet, but it only sat like that for maybe a hour or 2. I have it laying flat and off of the truck now.
Well looks like frame coating is being put off again, got a screamin deal on my MIG and bought it and I'm getting the stuff to freshen it up a little in about 5 mins, so I'll be finishing my floor soon I hope. NO more ARC on thin a$$ sheet metal anymore!

Yeah, for body work, buying a mig was the best thing I could do. I still love my stick for the heavy stuff, though!

My dad ask me if I was going to sell our lincon 225 ARC to recoop some $$, I looked at him and said exactly this "hell no, you crazy??"

I can't see welding up frame/suspention stuff with the MIG. Just can't do it..

I am running a WWII era Westinghouse arc welder. It is SOOOO badass! I learned on a Lincoln "tombstone" style welder, but for years all I had was a craftsman 110 arc. Getting back into the 220 stick welders is so much fun. Especially since most "welders" can't even use a stick

I'm just a hobbyist schumuck

Our lincon is a "tombstone" style. Its bad *** for the thick stuff. Just sucks on sheet metal.. I'd love to have a old WWII style but dad don't want one and I don't have the money to buy one myself.

Oh well. I can always use my grandpa's.

Give it time. I couldn't afford anything but the craftsman used when I was younger. 10 years later, I got the Westinghouse and the MIG.

Well, I had a few personal issues to work out and that set my plans off track (just some girl and drinkin stuff no big deal)

But as of now, I'm about to jump over on JBG and order my brake lines, possibly lift kit, and maybe a few other things, just depends on how I look after brake stuff and the lift.

Discounts for FTE members? Seriously though, great idea!! Some ideas for ya...once you get established, put a shipping address here so we can donate or sell to you (at a reasonable $, you would have to resell after all) our extra parts so others here on FTE can find those quality used parts from dependable Ford lovers, instead of someone who would rather scrap old US iron for a buck. A little FTE used parts house. I'm sure others here would support that idea.

Here you go Danger_Ranger. This thread should help you find some direction before you get too far into your project.

And yes, your work so far is all over the place. Not usually a bad thing, but make sure you do important stuff first and when you have the time instead of ****ing around with other stuff haha.
